Playing nice=Pwnage!
So have you ever had a person that you really could not stand? You pretty much despise them, but have to act like you like them because your friends do? Yes, well, that is exactly what I feel like writing about today. Why? Because I so got pwned by one today.
Don’t you hate it when the person you despise knows so much about you? Even the bad stuff. They use that stuff as ammo too. Why don’t you just kick us while we are down? Or kick us in the stomach after we just had an appendectomy. That sounds fun. Here’s an example of what those lovely people like to do.
Wicked Witch: (asking sweetly) So, Greta, how are things?
Greta: I’m doing alright.
Wicked Witch: So how is your alcoholism recovery going?
Greta: Um….fine.
Wicked Witch: How long have you been sober now? Two months?
Greta: Yes. I’m proud of myself.
Wicked Witch: So in those two short months, have you even craved a drop of liquor?
Greta: Um…I mean…well.
Wicked Witch: (Smiling sweetly) It’s okay. It happens to everyone.
This is only an example. However, something similar like this happened to me today. It didn’t pertain to alcohol, but it was equally depressing. I wanted to punch the chick in the gut. They take things you are insecure about and rub them in your face so that you feel awful about yourself.
See, I’m a sarcastic person. Not to mention, I’m lacking in the tact department. So, playing nice is one of the hardest things for me to do. It’s a pride issue as well. I hate getting pwned in front of other people. However, I don’t want others to think I can’t handle a little verbal abuse as well.
Next time though, I’m not going to take it. You know why? Because I’m not going to let some chick I can’t stand get to me. I can be just as cutting with my words. Next time she acts all sweet and innocent and is really condescending, I’m bringing out the razor blades. I’ll be like Wolverine….just with words.
If you are having issues like that as well, then you shouldn’t take it. Why should you play nice? Who cares if your friends like the chick? If they were really your friends, then they wouldn’t like the way she treated you either. Seriously. I’m just sayin’.
